Connecting a form to a specific Aurora database is straightforward.
1. In the Aurora ribbon, click on Sources>Data
2. Click on green Plus Sign to Add a Source
3. In the Aurora window that pops up there are only three items to do
a.Click to select SQL database
b.Enter the “_AU” name of the database on the first line
c.Enter the textual name of the database on the last line “DSN.” Note that it needs to be all strung together without spaces.
4. Click OK
The new database should now be selectable in the dropdown. When you select it, its Tables and Relationships should become visible and when you click on anyone of the Tables you should see its Columns, from which you can select the item(s) that are to be your individual data source(s).
Here’s a screen shot of the Source Add for a database named “Demo” on Aurora. Yours should look just like this. This is all that needs to be done to make one or more DBs available to a Form.
